Island Creations by Louise began in 2005 as a blog detailing projects sewn and activities engaged in through the process of living.
Expansion of activities came in 2014 with the opening of "Island Creations by Louise Studio" at 74 Nooseneck Hill Road in West Greenwich RI.
In July 2021, Island Creations by Louise expanded into the retail space formerly occupied by Sharon Mayers' Piecing with Poppers Quilting Center.
Island Creations by Louise now encompasses a Long Arm Quilting room, a spacious classroom and an ever expanding selection of merchandise geared to all levels of quilters and sewists.
Weekly "Open Sew" classes are held in our classroom space. Open Sew session allow sewists and quilters an opportunity to work on and complete projects in a supportive, yet creative, classroom environment. Currently four Open Sew sessions are held each week. Project specific classes are also held throughout the year in the classroom.
When Louise returned from Quilt In A Day Teacher Training at the company's home office and flagship store in San Marcos California, she began to build her trunk show and class samples in earnest. Technique classes as well as classes for specific patterns are now being offered.
